What that means for a kitchen

The largest share of homes in Richfield was built in the 1950s and 1960s. A kitchen in a house of that age was usually laid out small, with the sink, the stove and the work surface close together. Cabinets are where you get counter space and storage back.

Custom cabinets are built to the size of the room, so they fit the kitchen you have. You choose the number and type of shelves, the storage inside, the finish and the hardware.

Two ways to buy

Custom or stock kitchen cabinets

Getting more out of it

More counter and more storage from a small kitchen

Storage under the counter for small appliances, so they come off the countertop.
Wall ovens, which free the counter above a range.
An undermount sink, which gives back the inches a sink rim takes up.
Moving the sink from the middle of the counter to the end of it.
